The new novel-based film "Push", starring Mo'nique as the mom, helps tell two girls' stories, both the character in the movie and Monique's story from her childhood.
Mo'nique is starring as the mother in a film directed by Lee Daniel, "Push", which is based on Sapphire's (Ramona Lofton) hope-filled best seller about an abused, illiterate, obese teen.
Mo'nique shares her personal story of incest. She also discussed her bio and the film in another great article "Big Girls Don't Cry".
Other stars in this awesome film include: Rocker Lenny Kravitz, Paula Patton, and, as the teen, Gabourey "Gabbie" Sidibe
